Your account is "Unverified" and you haven't clicked on the link in your e-mail to prove to the system that you entered a legitimate e-mail address. Because system messages (and notifications of private messages) are sent to your e-mail address, you need to verify your e-mail address is valid by clicking on the link in the e-mail the system sent to you when you signed up.
Check your spam filters and junk-mail folders for an email from "noreply@wickedpicpost.net" It will have a link in it that you need to click on to verify your account.
If you can't find this email, just login to the website and then go to "My Account". Once you are in your account area, click on the Edit tab at the top of the screen just below your user name. Now, at the top of the screen you will see a link for "re-send validation e-mail"... just click that and then check your e-mail. If you still don't see it, be sure to check your junk folders and/or spam folders!

Well, right now it's mainly just a way to see who is most active on the website and give the users points based on how much time they spend here and what they do. I have grand plans (in the coming months) that will allow users to cash in their points for tangible goods i.e. stuff from our store, VISA gift cards, etc. Also, one of these days we will get around to putting up our exclusive content, and full galleries of models and photo sets (probably movies and stuff too). Since the "premium" content is going to cost us $$ (gotta pay the models, buy the content, etc) we are going to either allow users to buy a monthly membership, OR cash in their points for the same thing. This keeps the free site free, as long as you are active and participate :-) (The blog, and everything you see now will ALWAYS be free!!!)
Anyhow, the short answer is: Points are a way to gauge user participation and will soon be redeemable for cool stuff!
So, how do you get points you ask!?
Well, right now:
1 Point for sending a private message (add users to your buddy lists and start chatting it up!
2 Points for posting comments.
2 Points for inviting your friends to join the website.
10 Points when the friends you invite sign up!
